Volunteering starts with an interest or passion and is fulfilled through selfless actions. It is a very rewarding experience and provides a sense of accomplishment. The team of volunteers at Kitty City Kansas consist of individuals with various backgrounds but have a common interest in pets.
A majority of our “on-site” volunteer work is performed during our operational adoption center days which consist of limited hours on the weekends. This could include:
- Learning to become an Adoption Counselor. Adoption Counselors provide full counseling aid to prospective adopters from greeting to final adoption.
- Providing pre-opening and post-closing services during operational adoption center days.
- Providing adoption center cleaning services.
- Providing time to help socialize timid or shy cats.
